According to Renault Germany, only 27 vehicles of this type were delivered in Germany in 1981 - this example is one of them. Despite its motorsport origins, the vehicle was never used by Jürgen Salziger in racing. The original purchase invoice and the original vehicle registration document with only two entries are available.

The Renault 5 Turbo was extensively restored over a period of six years by Renault Turbo specialist Stefan Most in Bingen. The body was chemically stripped of paint, then cathodic dip-coated and rebuilt with the utmost care using only original parts. The underbody was deliberately only preserved with wax and not sealed with underbody protection - visible areas result from this value-preserving measure and stand for the uncompromising originality of the body.

The vehicle is in very good condition and has a mileage of just 27,714 km (current status). The engine and gearbox have been completely overhauled and have only covered around 1,600 km since then. Here, too, the body was built exclusively with original parts.

The paintwork in blue metallic (Olympe 405) is in excellent condition and underlines the authenticity of this vehicle. The original operating instructions in new condition and the original Renault workshop manual M.R. 221 are included.
